WWE Raw

WWE Monday Night 1/2/17 Hardcore Fan Review.

This show was absolutely horrible. Its a new year, I expected the show to be better however, that was not the case wasn't it? Its the same old matches every single week. When the draft took place everyone said including me, how exactly is Smackdown gonna fear with a shallow esk roster. Well Smackdown's roster was shallow so we thought, be it that both shows are written by the same creative team, Smackdown is so much better, the shallow roster turned into greatness. The only spoke in the wheel messing it up now is one "Big match Jawn" Cena. But Smackdown just pushes out the savage, old attitude era feeling to it and that is what the fans love to see for entering television. That is something Raw never brings.

Being that the show is 3 hours since 2012 it is really hard to keep awake for those 3 hours. This week starts off again with an authority figure's promo that always lasts around 15 to 20 minutes every single week. The only thing from this segment  that is to be noted is that Jericho said "Its the cage of Jericho, Lock me in maaan". That was the only substance of the opening segment. Because it's Mick Foley again pondering and slurring his promo words and forgetting what he's gonna say about a stupid shark cage.

The show went on with a couple more matches and segments. There was the Owens vs Rollins match that if Rollins wins Owens is barred from ringside during the Reigns vs Jericho match for the US Title later in the night. And of course Owens was DQ'ed with shows how terrible and weak WWE has booked KO as Universal Champion. The Cesaro vs Karl Anderson match really did surprised me mainly because ANDERSON NEVER WINS IN SINGLE MATCHES IN WWE and on Raw he did when he won over Cesaro with a neck breaker Gun Stun off the top rope. This shows again how foolish WWE creative is not to have the former Bullet Club members booked dominant as heels and booked strong like AJ Styles.

The night went on and more madness continued. Some Cruiser weight or 205Live matches and the 205Live highlight with Jack Gallagher and Ariya Diavari was far more entertaining that the slow paced hot garbage Kendrick and Perkins put on.

The Bayley vs Nia Jax match for the #1 contendership of the Raw Women's title at Royal Rumble was not gold and i thought nobody really was invested in that match. And Bayley one via distraction was Sasha came out and Bayley give Nia Bayley to Belly or Belly to Belly suplex off the second rope and pinned Nia. Well there went Nia's monster like push with all the squad matches. My way of booking that was Bayley's supposed to win, I would have Nia whoop her in the corner to cause the DQ and Bayley technically wins by DQ and is the #1 contender. Having Nia DQ'ed wouldn't hinder her monster push. It would make her seems unstoppable and a beast as is Braun Strowman.

The Jericho vs Reigns was not good at all, Jericho paid homage to Eddie when he threw the US strap into Reign's arms and took a back bump. The match ended with a lame spear.

The main event was the Kevin Owens Show with Jericho and their guest was Goldberg. This was an alright segment. Paul Heyman came out to hype Lesnar who wasn't there. Reigns came out title less. Roman Reigns makes the US title meaning less and treats it like trash. Case and point. Rusev should still be US champion while feuding with Enzo and Cass. Back to the main event, at the end of it Strowman came out and said he's gonna win the Rumble which is a move I know Vince would go with. The show ended with Strowman being double speared by Goldberg and Reigns. I am in no way excited for the Universal Title match because Reign's is gonna win the strap as a face and again we will boo him whenever he comes out.

Thanks for visiting and have a nice day!

Smackdown Live Review coming tomorrow! So stay tuned!
